21 世紀以來,以出口“中國制造”產品為標志的中國經濟發生了巨大改變。一方面,據《時代周刊》(TIME)報道,以廉價勞動力制勝的時代即將結束。另一方面,中國消費者購買進口奢侈品的潛力日益凸顯。這是近些年來中國經濟以兩位數(double-digit)持續增長的結果,而推動這種增長的是國內大規模的基礎設施(infrastructure)和房地產建設,以及發達國家對中國出口產品的巨大需求。
Since the 21st century, great changes have taken place in China’s economy labelled by exporting “Made in China” products. For one thing, the era of cheap labor will come to an end according to the TIME magazine. For another, Chinese consumers have shown a growing potential in purchasing imported luxuries. This is supported by China’s continuous double-digit growth over the recent years. Such growth has been driven by the large scale construction of infrastructure and real estate, as well as the huge demand from developed countries for China’s exports.
