Long long ago, there was a giant in the North, called Kuafu. He lived on a desolate mountain.
Kuafu was naturally keen on exploration. One day, he suddenly had an idea that he wanted to see exactly what the sun was like. He started to move his legs, running like a gust of wind.
Kuafu set the goal to catch up with the sun. The setting sun was like a ball of fire, which made him feel thirsty. He was dying of thirst, therefore he ran to the Yellow River to drink. The water of the whole Yellow River was not adequate to quench his thirst, then he rushed to the Weihe River. He drank all water of the Weihe River. It did not quench his thirst, either. He went to Daze (Immense Lake) in the North. Before arriving there, he died of thirst on the half way. Kuafu died and lost the walking stick in his hand. The place where he dropped his crutch turned into a peach orchard.
