京劇是中國戲曲中影響力最大的一支。京劇人物角色以性別、年齡、身份和個(gè)性為基礎(chǔ)進(jìn)行區(qū)分。主要有四大行當(dāng)(character type)，分別是生、旦、凈、丑?！吧笔且粋€(gè)男性角色，進(jìn)一步細(xì)分為老生、小生和武生(martial Sheng)。“旦”指各種女性角色?！皟簟苯莿t是在性格、品質(zhì)或相貌上有突出特點(diǎn)的男性人物。“丑”是一個(gè)機(jī)敏、滑稽而具有諷刺意味的角色。
Beijing Opera is the most influential branch of Chinese opera. The character roles of Beijing Opera are distinguished on the basis of sex, age, identity and personality. There are four main character types: the Sheng, Dan, Jing, and Chou. The Sheng is a male character, which is further subdivided into the elderly Sheng, the young Sheng, and the martial Sheng. The Dan refers to various female roles. The Jing role is a male character whose personality, quality or appearance is special. The Chou is a smart, funny and satirizing character.
