我為此重新翻看了《論語》，因為至圣先師孔子，對于“君子”的定義，有幾十條。但是我讀來讀去覺得“君子訥于言而敏于行”這句話就說的是君子蘭（clivia）！
我以為“言”就是花的香氣，“行”就是花的形象和花期的久暫，君子蘭花香很淡，而花色極濃，幾十朵相拱而立，能夠立到幾十天！它們群立在你的面前給你力量，給你鼓舞，因此我雖然也喜愛玫瑰的濃香和桂花（osmanthus）的幽香，但在數日之內，便瓣落香消，使人惆悵，而使我敬佩的還是君子蘭！
However, after reading the book repeatedly, I conclude that the quotation “A gentleman is prudent in speech but prompt in action.” is the exact description of clivia!
For “speech”, I think it is the clivia’s fragrance, and for “action”. I think it refers to the clivia’s image and duration of blooming. Clivia has a light scent yet deep colors. Bowing politely to each other, dozens of flowers can be in blossom for dozens of days! They remain standing in front of you. providing you with power and inspiration. 1 am also fond of the heavy scent of roses and the delicate fragrance of osmanthus. but in a few days, their petals wither and fall, and their fragrance fades away, leaving behind melancholy in me. Therefore, I appreciate clivia all the more!
