At the age of sixty, I viewed living to be seventy as difficult as climbing a high mountain. Surprisingly. I actually hit it. Then. I thought of living to be eighty as inaccessible as the stars, which was within sight but beyond reach. Unexpectedly, I reached it too. I am an old man of eighty-two years old this year, which is the nominal age instead of the actual age in terms of the traditional Chinese counting method. Don’t people advocate respecting traditions nowadays?
People in old age will in most cases be able to obtain enlightenment, such as “The country is well-governed.” mentioned by Confucius. “The truth that can be explained. ” introduced by Laozi. “It was the Word in the beginning. ” written in the Bible and “the doctrines of paganism” rejected by the Buddhism. As I am growing old. I have begun to get into flight of fancy and speak whatever I like, and then I feel that I have realized one truth: Old age is a vast world, with lots of fun to explore.
